About Avery Shannon
Hi! My name is Avery Shannon, and I’m 20 years old. I began exploring side hustles at the age of 12 and launched my first business at 14. Since then, I’ve built eight streams of income—six of which are businesses—and have generated six figures along the way. Entrepreneurship and financial freedom have always been passions of mine, and my mission is to inspire, encourage, and educate others to take control of their finances and pursue financial independence.

Camps for Kidz
Camps for Kidz is a business I started when I was 14 years old. I had recently started babysitting when my mom had the idea to hold a "camp". Instead of going to other people's houses to watch their kids, we would hold a craft party in our garage and the kids would come to us. Since then, Camps for Kidz has been featured in several news articles and we have held hundreds of camps.
A-Z Balloon Art
A-Z Balloon Art is a business I started when I was 15 years old. I had started an event planning business a few months prior and had clients asking me if I could make balloon art for their events. I figured it would be a fun and creative thing to try so I taught myself. Since then, I have done hundreds of setups and generated six figures in sales. I love being apart of making people's events special!
When I was 16, a neighbor gifted my mom sourdough starter. Our family loves sourdough bread so she was excited to learn how to make it. After a few months, her bread wasn't turning out quite right so I decided to give it a shot. After nursing her sourdough starter, Bob, back to health, I started making sourdough bread. It turned out wonderful and after some practice, I decided to sell a few loaves on a local Facebook group. I sold out immediately and decided to start selling sourdough treats and started Avery's Sourdough shortly after turning 17.

Growing up around dogs my whole life, I decided to start dog walking when I was 12. When I turned 17, I started offering overnights in clients homes and love taking care of their precious fur babies!
Around the age of 18 years old, I started watching cookie cake making videos on TikTok. I thought they looked so pretty and it would be fun to try making one. I made a "13" baseball themed cookie cake for our neighbors who's son was turning 13 and it turned out a lot better than I thought it would. I posted pictures of it on social media and people started reaching out asking if I could make the cookie cakes for their events and celebrations. After the overwhelming response, I decided to give the people what they asked for and turn my cookie cake making hobby into a business! This picture features the second and third cookie cake I ever made.

Beyond the Business
While entrepreneurship, investing, and building multiple streams of income are a huge part of my life, they're only a small part of who I am.
My faith is the foundation of everything I do. Following Jesus is the most important thing in my life, and I strive to honor Him in my business, my relationships, and the way I serve others.
Family means everything to me. I'm incredibly grateful for my parents as well as the people who support and encourage me, including my sister who is truly my best friend.
Another thing about me is that I absolutely love to travel and experience new places, and I believe some of life's greatest lessons are learned through new experiences and adventures.
I'm also a licensed esthetician with a passion for helping women feel confident and cared for. Whether I'm sharing skincare tips, talking about business and investing, or simply sharing pieces of my everyday life, my goal is always the same: to educate, encourage, and inspire.
